Council Information
The Durham-Orange Estate Planning Council is an interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning. The Council is composed of local attorneys, CPAs, trust officers, insurance professionals, financial planners and members of the planned giving community whose professional careers have all been centered around helping individuals achieve their estate planning goals.
Since its inception, the Council's primary objective has been to provide a better understanding of the services performed by attorneys, life underwriters, trust officers, accountants, and others substantially involved in estate planning and to promote cooperation among them.
Our meetings provide a medium for discussion of various, up-to-date estate planning topics of common interest. In addition to the excellent educational information and technical content, our meetings afford our members the opportunity to network, meet old friends and make new ones within the Triangle professional community.
The Council's members, who represent a broad range of practices, benefit from getting to know and respect each other through an increased awareness and understanding of the views, concerns and valuable interaction of their overlapping specialties. The Council welcomes prospective new members and guests to attend our future meetings.
